Drama & Sports Themed Summer Camp

(August 4 – 29, 2025, excluding August 5th Tuesday and August 25th Monday)

This August, Bowen Education is proud to present a free, enriching, and unforgettable Summer Camp experience designed especially for children from low-income families. Running from August 4 to 29 (Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, excluding August 5th Tuesday and August 25th Monday.), our camp offers a joyful, creative, and active environment where children can grow, connect, and shine.

* What Makes Our Camp Special?

At the heart of our programme are high-quality Drama and Sports sessions led by professional teachers and experienced coaches. These engaging morning activities are designed to build:

• • Confidence through performance and play
  • Teamwork through collaborative sports and games
  • Creativity through imagination and expression

In the afternoons, children will enjoy a variety of arts, crafts, and hands-on workshops that nurture curiosity, fine motor skills, and social interaction.

          * Daily Schedule:
              • 10:00–10:15 – Registration
              • 10:15–11:00 – Session 1, Drama 5-8 yrs & Sports 8-11 yrs
              • 11:00–11:15 – Break & Room swapping
              • 11:15–12:00 – Session 2, Drama 8-11 yrs & Sports 5-8 yrs
              • 12:00–13:00 – Lunch
              • 13:00–14:00 – Arts/crafts/Chess & Free play 

* Weekly Themes & Performances

Each of the four weeks will explore a different theme:

• • Week 1 – Sharing: Learning kindness, empathy, and giving
  • Week 2 – Family: Celebrating connections and storytelling
  • Week 3 – Community: Understanding roles, belonging, and cooperation
  • Week 4 – Friendship: Building trust, communication, and fun

Every Friday, children will take part in a mini performance to showcase what they’ve learned that week – a proud moment for both the children and their families.

* Healthy Meals Included

Every child will receive a nutritious hot lunch, and fresh fruit each day – helping them stay fuelled, focused, and ready to participate fully.

          * Who Can Join?

• • This camp is being run as part of the government’s Holiday Activities and Food scheme.  The cost of the camp is FREE for children receiving benefits related to free school meals.
  • If your child does not qualify for the free meal benefit, a camp fee of £12/day will be applied. The fee includes a nutritious dinner (meal, fruit, and drinks).
