Xirong Li
Ms. Li is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering Management at the University of Manchester. She began learning chess systematically at the age of 6 and is now a Chinese National First-level Athlete and Chess Association Master. At the age of 8, she began a streak of winning the Women’s Division Chess Championship in Hunan Province, holding the highest rating in the Women’s Division in Hunan Province and ranking in the top five in the mixed-gender category. Ms. Li has represented Hunan Province twice in the Chinese Intellectual Games and was selected for the Chinese National Youth Team training camp.
In addition, she holds certifications as an arbiter and coach issued by the Chinese Chess Association, as well as a referee certification from the British Chess Association. With several years of teaching and coaching experience, Ms. Li has guided numerous students to outstanding achievements in chess competitions
